Editorial Policy
This page states the rules our editorial process follows regardless of commercial pressure.
Independence from commercial relationships
The Health Primer earns affiliate commissions on some products we cover. That relationship never influences an editorial score, a verdict, or a recommendation. We use one consistent scoring rubric (see How We Review Products) applied the same way to every product, regardless of which network or commission rate is attached to it.
How content gets made
Every piece of content is researched, drafted, and checked against our Evidence and Sources Policy before it publishes. The Health Primer is published as a brand, not around any individual author, founder, or reviewer identity — we do not attribute content to invented people, credentials, or expertise that wasn’t genuinely applied. Trust in our content rests on our documented methodology and evidence standards, not on any one person’s name.
Sourcing standards
Claims are sourced against primary research and recognized health authorities wherever possible, ahead of secondhand summaries. Full detail is in our Evidence and Sources Policy.
Corrections
When new evidence or an error comes to light, we correct the content and note that a correction was made. See our Corrections Policy for the full process.
Editorial voice
We write in plain language for an intelligent adult who is short on time — no fear-based language, no miracle claims, no manufactured urgency or scarcity, no condescension toward older readers. If a claim reads as “marketed to” rather than “respected,” it gets rewritten before it publishes.
